Injectable contraception is temporary contraception. Injectable contraceptives are very good, with a failure rate of less than 0.1% per 100 women/year. At this time there are two types of injections for women, namely the progestin group such as Depo Provera which is given every 12 weeks, and the progestin group with a mixture of estrogen propionate such as Cyclofem which is given every 4 weeks. This study aims to determine the relationship between age and parity on the side effects of using injection family planning at BPM Fauziah Hatta Palembang. This research is a descriptive-analytic study, with a cross sectional approach. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique as many as 40 respondents. The results showed that the highest age was 25-35 years, 30 respondents (75%), the highest parity was 35 respondents (87.5%). Chi-square statistical test results obtained p-value 0.067 and 0.471.
